Terms & Conditions – Refunds Policy

This policy applies to physical products, digital resources, and workshops sold via www.rootedinsounds.com. Please read it carefully before purchasing.

General

  • Refunds apply only to the original purchaser and are non-transferable.
  • All refund or return requests must be submitted in writing to info@rootedinsounds.com.
  • Proof of purchase may be required.
  • Intellectual Property & Usage: All resources (digital and physical) are for the personal use of the registered purchaser only. Sharing login credentials, distributing files, or photocopying materials for use by non-purchasers is a breach of copyright.

Physical Resources 

This section applies to physical items including books, flashcards, A5 mats, and A1 posters.

Cooling-Off Period (UK Orders)

If you are a UK customer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your physical items, without giving a reason.

  • To exercise this right, you must notify us at info@rootedinsounds.com within the 14-day period.

Returns Beyond the Cooling-Off Period

  • We also accept returns for physical items up to 30 days from purchase, provided the items meet the conditions below.

Conditions for Returns

  • Items must:
    • Be unused
    • Be in the same condition as received
    • Be in their original packaging
  • Items must have been purchased directly from www.rootedinsounds.com.
  • Returns are accepted for UK orders only.
  • Customers are responsible for return postage, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

Refunds

  • Returned items are inspected upon receipt.
  • If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

International Orders

  • We do not accept returns for international orders unless items are faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
  • If an international order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact info@rootedinsounds.com within 24–48 hours of delivery with details and evidence.

Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items

  • Please inspect your order on delivery.
  • If an item is damaged, faulty, or incorrect, email info@rootedinsounds.com within 24–48 hours of receipt.
  • Include:
    • Your order number
    • A description of the issue
    • Photographic evidence where possible
  • We will assess the issue promptly and arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Digital Resources

Digital resources are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.

  • Waiver of Rights: By purchasing and accessing digital content, you acknowledge that you expressly waive your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations for digital goods.
  • “Digital Seal” Broken: Refunds are not possible once the digital “seal” is broken (i.e., the resource has been accessed or downloaded).

Exceptions

Refunds or alternative access may be offered if:

  • You are unable to access or download the resource after purchase
  • You accidentally purchase the same digital resource twice from the same account
  • Please contact info@rootedinsounds.com with the item name and order details.

Workshops & Training Programmes – Refunds & Transfers

We offer workshops with different access tiers, which may include live sessions, digital resources, recordings, Q&A access, and optional physical materials.

Refunds – General Terms

  • Refund requests must be made at least 7 days before the scheduled workshop start date.
  • If a refund is granted (outside of the 7-day window), the specific value of the digital resources (as listed on the individual product page) will be deducted from the total refund.
  • No refunds will be issued within 7 days of the workshop start date.
  • Once a workshop has started, or access to workshop content has begun, refunds are not available except where required by law.

Digital Content

  • Digital components included with workshops (including files, downloads, recordings, or online portal access) are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.
  • By accessing digital content, you acknowledge that you waive your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations for digital goods.

Live Sessions, Q&A & Support Access

  • Refund eligibility will be assessed based on whether live sessions, Q&A sessions, group support, or coaching access have already begun.
  • If any live or interactive component has started, a refund will not be issued.

Physical Materials (if included in your tier)

  • Physical materials are subject to the Physical Resources Refund Policy.
  • No refund will be issued until returned items are received and inspected.

Transfer of Workshop Place (No Transfer Option)

  • We do not offer the transfer of a workshop place to a third party. The booking is solely for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
  • If you are unable to attend, please refer to the refund clauses above.

Exceptional Circumstances

Exceptional Circumstances & Partial Refunds

In rare cases, such as workshop cancellation by us, an alternative date or a full refund will be offered.

  • If a cancellation is accepted for other legitimate reasons (e.g., medical emergency), a refund of the workshop fee will be issued minus the fee for the digital resources and administrative processing.
  • You will retain lifetime access to these resources via your account as part of this partial refund agreement.

Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.
