The lesson plans book provides you with a structure for the teaching of each speech sound.   

The 32 alliteration cards support the teaching of the speech sounds (phonemes) of English.  Each printed colour card has an image of an animal, representing the sound.  On the reverse, are the capital and the common letter alongside an alliteration sentence. 

The 37 sound cards consist of the letters that represent the speech sounds, alongside additional cards that are represented by the double letters included.  E.g. ff, ll, ss, zz and s for /z/.  On the reverse of each card you will find a letter formation guide for your child to trace with their finger.

The pronunciation of the speech sounds videos guide you to know how to pronounce each sound that you will teach your child.

Beginners Workbook 1 consolidates the teaching of the 32 speech sounds.  For each speech sound and its matched letter (grapheme), there are three pages of activities.  

Beginners Workbook 2 will strengthen your child’s ability to read beyond a word through a range of phrases provided. This book includes activities for the teaching of vowels and consonants, letter names and then matching uppercase letters with lowercase letters. This book will continue to stretch your child by introducing them to consonant clusters, rules for spelling words with double letters i.e. ‘ss’, ‘ff’ etc, as well as thorny words. These are words which are spelled with an irregular spelling pattern.  

Beginners Workbook 3 provides opportunities to read and write sentences whilst developing an understanding of comprehension and how the written language is structured through an understanding of grammar.

The A1 Phonics poster contains 32 sounds and 37 representations beautifully designed next to the animal that represents the speech sound.  A great resource to display for your child, to support their retention of the sounds taught.  

The A6 tabletop Phonics mat is valuable while your child is sitting to write, which can remind and reinforce their recognition of the sound through the image and its matching symbol/s.

The word bank gives you over 800 decodable words for your child to read and write, key skills 3 and 4.

The teaching route map highlights the key skills that will be taught from Beginners Workbook 1 through to Beginners Workbook 3, outlining the methodical order that you will take to teach your child to read and write effectively.
